The Northside Church formerly known as Living proof Chapel was started by Pastor Tony Ojukwu on November 15th, 1995 at Enugu Press center Rangers Avenue, Independence Layout Enugu. Pastor Tony as he is popularly called, is a firm believer in the integrity of God's word and the demonstration of the power of the pentecost. He is s lover of God with great insight of the scriptures to which he called to preach and teach, the department he handles with dept, passion and dexterity. In1982 he worked briefly with Professor Duro Adegboye the former Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Ahmadu Bello University and after his education at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Pastor Tony's zeal to reach out to the world with gospel and the need to answer the call became irresistible though severally he tried to do otherwise. Hence The Northside Church was born first as a weekly service, that met only Sunday mornings 8 am to 11am. Being one of the superintendents a student campus fellowship, for some years, expectedly, majority of the members were students from Univereity of Nigeria Nsukka and Enugu campuses. Since then, the Church has moved to about thirteen different locations including such locations as under a mango tree until God settled her on her own properity permanent site, 17c Achi Street Independence Layout Enugu. The history of The Northside Church is both fascinating, challenging and a prove of God's faithfulness later told in details.
